Terms
These are the terms on which we sell SHAN lamps through this website. Please read them before you order. They don't affect your legal rights as a consumer.
.Who we are. SHAN is a trading name of Pumpernickel HoldCo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 16976437, with its registered office at Flat 140, 4 Dukes Road, London E17 3SE. You can reach us at info@shanlamp.com.
.Your order. When you place an order we'll email to acknowledge it. That email isn't acceptance. Our contract with you starts when we email to confirm your lamp has been dispatched. If we can't accept your order, for example because a stone has sold out or there's an error in the price, we'll tell you and won't charge you, or we'll refund you in full.
.Prices and payment. Prices are in pounds sterling. We're not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. Delivery charges are shown before you pay. Payment is taken by our checkout provider, Shopify, when you place your order. We never see or store your full card details.
.Stock and the waitlist. Stock shown on the site is live but can change while you're checking out. Joining a waitlist is free, doesn't reserve a lamp and doesn't take payment.
.Delivery. We deliver to the UK and the EU. Our Shipping page sets out costs and timings. Delivery times are estimates. If we're going to be more than 30 days late, you can cancel and get a full refund. The lamp is your responsibility once it's delivered to the address you gave us. It becomes yours once we've received full payment.
.Your right to cancel. You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your lamp without giving a reason. Our Returns page explains how, and our longer 30-day returns promise.
.Natural stone. Every SHAN body is cut from natural marble. Colour, veining and small natural pits vary from lamp to lamp and from our pictures. That's the stone, not a fault. Images on this site are pre-production visuals and may differ slightly from the lamp you receive.
.Faults and damage. If your lamp is faulty or arrives damaged, you have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Our Returns page explains what we'll do.
.Using your lamp. Charge it with a USB-C cable and a standard USB charger. Don't open the base, charge it while wet, or leave it in direct sun or near heat. Keep small parts and the cable away from young children.
.Our liability. If we break these terms or fail to use reasonable care, we're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that's a foreseeable result. We're not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.
.Your information. We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy notice.
.Events outside our control. We're not responsible for delays caused by things we can't reasonably control. If that happens we'll tell you and do what we can to limit the delay.
.Law and disputes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and you can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or the EU, you can also use your local courts and keep any protections your local law gives you.
.Changes. We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies is the one on the site when you place your order.
